I’ve written about Langley’s No 8 before and was delighted to see that this marvellous gin distiller was working with Marks and Spencer. The infuse your own Winter Gin Kit is a beautiful present for any gin lover who likes to experiment.
When Christmas is well-and-truly-over, and the January blues sink in this gift keeps on giving.
The box contains
- 20cl London Dry Gin (from the wonderful Langley Distillery)
- 4 Whole Apricots
- 15g Dried Cranberries
- 15g Dried Blueberries
- 3 Cloves
- Stick of Cinnamon
It’s simplicity in itself, chop up the apricots, add the blueberries and cranberries to the bottle along with the stick of cinnamon. Add the gin and shake gently. The advice is to wait for 7 days but if they’re observing dry-January, it won’t hurt to keep it for a few weeks.
A decent quality gin with the taste of all that’s good about Winter.
Three days on and the colour from the dried fruits has infused into the clear gin. This is coming along rather nicely.
If anyone fancies buying it for me as a gift, mine won’t last beyond Christmas Eve.
The kit is available from Marks and Spencer. Perfect for the wannabe bootlegger and gin lover in your life.
